The CEF grant in the amount of $710 to Old Union Elementary for Science Inquiry
Enigmas supports the science inquiry component of the Texas Performance Standards
Project. Through this grant, twenty-seven fourth grade Quest students will have
access to a variety of ability-level science books for independent and small group
research into an enigma of their choice. Enigmas include, but are not limited to, the
Bermuda Triangle, the Lost Continent of Atlantis, and Stonehenge. Students will apply
science inquiry methods in their investigations, utilizing science equipment funded by
the grant. Creating advanced products that reflect the rigorous curriculum and instructional
goals in the Texas State Plan for the Education of Gifted/Talented Students is the goal of the
Science Inquiry Enigmas project. Thank you for your work in supporting the CEF grant progarm.
