"This grant benefits the art department at CHS and CSHS by giving each a Conrad Combination Etching Press with a stand, printing blankets and hand files. These expensive presses are hand built and calibrated. Now students at both campuses will be able to explore several new printmaking methods including, but not limited, to collograph, dry point etchings, intaglio and lithography up to 16"" x 32"" in size.
In addition, each school is receiving 15 black aluminum frames in 11"" x 14"", 16"" x 20"" and 18"" x 24"" sizes + mat board to display student products at each school, the Carroll ISD Administration Building and other venues. We want good ""press"" for our program. The frames and mat board will allow us to display our new prints and show our students’ artwork to the community!"
