Carroll Education Foundation's Grant Recipients and Sponsors 2007

Carroll Middle School adopted a character education program directly relating to the mission of Carroll ISD “to provide a caring and creative learning environment that promotes excellence, fosters integrity, and encourages each student to reach his or her academic, extracurricular and social potential.” This grant provides “character words of the month” prominently displayed on 40 banners throughout Carroll Middle School in coordination with a presentation by Motivational Pro Productions concerning social issues faced by middle school students. The presentation helps to foster positive relationships among peers. Students who are members of the Carroll Middle School Character Council will partner with the Character Education Committee to develop Dragon Den activities and discussions covering specific issues identified during the presentation. This grant will provide materials and motivation enabling and encouraging students to always use the best judgment possible regarding peer relationships as well as developing their own character and integrity.
