Carroll Education Foundation's Grant Recipients and Sponsors 2010

The 21st Century Learner is expected to acquire the skills essential for success in the world in which he or she lives. To be effective in the 21st Century, individuals must have the ability to understand and efficiently use a variety of technology resources. Students currently have shared access to a few desktop computers in the classroom. My “I Have an App for Learning” grant will provide elementary students with an opportunity to pilot the use of iPads in the classroom for research, note taking, math practice, creative writing, creative thinking, the list goes on! Student and teacher feedback on the effectiveness of having this technology available for students will be provided to administration to assist in assessing the technology needs of CISD students in the future.
