The students will get the chance to become movie makers. Throughout the year we have concentrated on builiding a reading life and really living in our books. We are going to take that one step farther. The students will be placed in reading groups (Book Clubs) to take on the book review piece of the project. The students will get to choose a ficiton book that is of interest to them. Upon completion of the book the students will then get to make a book trailer, to mimic a movie trailor. The students will have to write a script of the story and think about how they would sum up the book without giving away the ending. Once they are completely prepared the student will begin shooting their review using the Flip Cameras. The students will then get to watch each group's project and hopefully come across some different books that will encourage them to read more.
